Schools take precautions after students contract MRSAWRENTHAM, Mass. --Several Massachusetts communities are taking precautions after school students were diagnosed with a drug-resistant staph infection. A cleaning crew was brought in to sanitize the Delaney elementary school in Wrentham after a second-grader came down with the skin condition. The town's school superintendent said it was unlikely to spread to other children. A student at the Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter School in Adams was diagnosed with a staph infection on Thursday. Officials say the school was cleaned with a bleach and water solution. In Dartmouth, at least three high school students have been treated for the staph infection since the start of school. Officials told the cleaning staff to pay special attention to common areas of contact. School officials in Salem and Winthrop also have reported cases. A high school student has been diagnosed in Winthrop.
